West Chester University would like to invite you to compete in our 2026 WCU Season Opener on Friday, September 4, 2026. This year's meet will be held at a new venue, The Plantation Field (347 Green Valley Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320), providing a great opportunity to open the season on a beautiful cross country course. The meet format is designed to give teams flexibility, whether you're looking to race your full squad or get athletes quality early-season competition. Events Men's 4x2K Relay – 4:30 PM Women's 4x2K Relay – 5:15 PM Men's Open 5K – 6:00 PM Women's Open 5K – 6:30 PM The 4x2K relay consists of two athletes per relay, with each athlete running two legs. Teams may enter an unlimited number of relay teams. Awards Top two teams in both the 4x2K Relay and Open 5K. Top 10 individual finishers in the Open 5K receive commemorative T-shirts. Relay T-shirts will also be awarded for the top three individual splits and the top three average relay splits.
