Welcome to the West Hillsborough Invitational 2026. This is a HCPS event for the nine public schools that make up the American Division. No other schools can participate in this event. The WHI2026 will be at Tampa Bay Downs racetrack starting times of 5:30 pm for boys, 5:55 pm for girls. Please be aware, the wet bulb reading could delay the starts until 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm. We are also at the mercy of the heat index and the pm thunderstorms. As such, we ask that all teams arrive at TBD around 4:30 pm, a minimum of 45 mins before the race. We may start early or bring up the girls race to make sure the event occurs. This will be the first year on the turf at TBD and the course is entirely grass. As we have done in the past few years, the race will feature one boy's race (Varsity and JV combined), followed by one girl's race (Varsity and JV combined).
