Distance: Men – 7.25K [Course Record: Mason Jones – FL S – 23:05.6 – 2021] Women – 5K [Course Record: Katherine Yost – GCSU – 18:09.2 – 2017] The Border Clash aspect of the meet: Besides the regular team race and awards - we will score the top 5 Border State(s) runners against the top 5 GA runners - see which State wins the Border Clash - and bragging rights. As the teams from other States enter - we will expand the Border Clash Challenge to other States too. AL/GA, SC/GA etc Course Description: Grassy terrain with stretches of packed dirt, crushed gravel and a few rolling hills. Long start and finish stretch to accommodate large field sizes. Looped course(s) - Spectator-friendly. Location/course for the 2028 GSC XC Championships.
