Fernandina Beach High School invites you to the: 8th Annual Coach Hope XC Invitational on September 12, 2026. Hosted by Fernandina Beach High School. Race location at Fernandina Beach Golf Club 2800 Bill Melton Road, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 FEATURING: A fast, flat two loop 5K on the golf course offering runners and coaches a great XC experience on beautiful Amelia Island. Award plaques to top 2 teams overall in Boys and Girls Varsity races and awards to Top 15 finishers in each Varsity race. No awards for teams or individuals in the JV race. We will limit the Varsity races to 10 runners maximum BUT JUST ENTER ALL YOUR ATHLETES AND RUN ANY OF THEM (UP TO 10 RUNNERS) IN VARSITY RACES. All other runners will be in the JV race. No limits on JV entries. Varsity races will be FAT chip timing, JV races will be hand-timed only (coaches please get your runners' times as they cross the finish line). Great spectator course! FB Golf Club restaurant facilities open to spectators. NOTE TO COACHES: THIS RACE COURSE, ON BEAUTIFUL AMELIA ISLAND, IS 1/4 MILE FROM THE WIDE, SANDY BEACHES OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN! ALL FREE BEACH PARKING, EASY BEACH ACCESS AND PUBLIC RESTROOMS. NEARBY LOCAL RESTAURANTS AS WELL. GREAT PLACE FOR YOUR RUNNERS TO UNWIND AFTER THE MORNING RACES AND BUILD SOME TEAM BONDING AND MEMORIES BEFORE HEADING HOME! A UNIQUE POST XC RACE EXPERIENCE. RACE STARTS: Boys 5K Varsity race 8:00 a.m. Girls 5K Varsity at 8:40 a.m. JV 5K race (Boys and Girls combined) at 9:20 a.m. COURSE WALK THROUGH is available Friday, 9/11 from 5:30 pm to dusk and Saturday, 9/12, dawn to 7:30 am. Entry Fees: $200 per school for Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity and JV runners. $100 for entering just one gender team. Please make entry checks out to: "Fernandina Beach H.S. XC" or supply a P.O. number to Meet Director - Dave Reinhart for payment later.
