Where: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School 13651 Hays Road, Spring Hill, FL 34610 When: Saturday, October 24, 2026 REGISTRATION/ENTRY FEES Registration is limited to the FIRST 20 teams that submit their YOU MUST ENTER one athlete per gender to hold a spot for your team through Direct Athletics. Team Buses: Buses will park in front of the school on the grass. Spectator Parking: Spectators may park in the school parking lot. Please enter through the South Gate on Hays Road. Parking Fee $5.00 Cash or Card COURSE DESCRIPTION: Get ready for a fast, fun, and challenging cross country experience! Athletes will race primarily on grass loops winding throughout campus and around the track complex before an exciting stadium start and finish. The course features a variety of terrain including hills, sand, and a few asphalt crossings, and an asphalt track finish in the stadium. This course will challenge runners mentally and physically. This course rewards toughness, strategy, grit, and smart racing. Running shoes or trail shoes are both great options and are highly advised. depending on course conditions and athlete preference. Spikes are not encouraged but only ⅛ spikes would be recommended. Don’t forget: Mosquito Repellent Sunscreen Hydration Because at the Hurricanes Black Flag Invitational… the elements are part of the adventure. TENT CITY/HALLOWEEN TENT DECORATING Tent City will be located in the clearing between the Baseball Practice Field and the Concession Stand. All teams are invited and encouraged to decorate their Tent City areas with a fun Halloween theme! Get creative, show your team spirit, and bring the spooky season energy to the Hurricanes Black Flag Invitational. Tent Decorations, lights, pumpkins, and themed setups are all welcome as long as they remain school appropriate. Tents will be judged & Award for the best decorated Tent will follow after the Award ceremony. NO COSTUMES ALLOWED! Let’s make Tent City fun, festive, and unforgettable! Because at the Hurricanes Black Flag Invitational… the elements are part of the adventure. SENIOR RECOGNITION We will honor ALL seniors between the Varsity and JV races. Please email Coach Nolan with Senior names & how many years running XC: leslie.nolan@bmchs.com . We will be hosting our Senior Morning at this event. AWARDS Awards will take place near the Pavilion / Concession Stand immediately following the conclusion of races. Awards Include: 🏆 Team Trophies 🥇 Top 3 Finishers — Medals 🎖️ 4th–8th Place — Ribbons Awards will be presented separately for all divisions. Halloween Tent Award.
