Please send Coach Gates an email to be invited. A trainer will be on site day of the race. There will be water, and a few snacks for runners. Entry Fee: High School $160 per school or $80 per team (boys, girls), JV included; $20 for Individual Runner Middle School $100 per school or $50 per team (boys,girls) Make check payable to: Pasco High School Cross Country ATTN: Leeann Gates 36850 SR 52, Dade City, Florida 33525 Payment: Entry check due by Tuesday, September 3rd, or Bring to the meet Meet Size: First 30 per gender Race Schedule: 7:00am Coaches Meeting by timers tent/finish line Varsity Boys – 7:30am (Top 7) Varsity Girls – 8:00am (Top 7) JV COULD BE COMBINED based on numbers so plan accordingly. JV Boys – 8:35am (unlimited) JV Girls - 8:40am (unlimited) Middle School Boys (2K) – 9:15am Middle School Girls (2K) – 9:30am Meet Address: 12449 Withlacoochee Blvd, Dade City, FL 33525 Course Description: High School The 5K course will begin and end in the open field, the start will take place on the other side of the finish just past the fire break ditch, and the finish will be right in front of where parking is. This is a one loop race and most of the race will take place in the woods. The course is all trail with a few instances where they cut across paved bike paths, some gravel near the tower, and when they cross the paved road. Middle School The 2K course will begin and end in the open field, the start will take place on the other side of the finish just past the fire break ditch, and the finish will be right in front of where parking is. This is a one loop race and most of the race will take place in the woods. The course is all trail with a few instances where they cut across paved bike paths, some gravel near the tower, and when they cross the paved road. Parking/Directions: Please drive into the park, there will be flags marking the Withlacoochee Park entrance. Go all the way down till the first entrance on your right-hand side, it will also be marked with Pasco flags and has a smoky the bear sign. This is the start/finish for all races. Cars/Buses will be parking in a grass field that has been roped off, please make sure you are aware that larger charter buses will be parking in the soft ground. We will try to have volunteers helping with parking, please listen to them. Parking is free. If you need to leave before the end of the meet, that is fine just be cautious of runners as the runners will be coming out of the woods and making a final lap to their finish. We understand that some people cannot stay the whole meet and that is fine, please just be cautious for the safety of the runners. Bathrooms: I know bathrooms were a hot topic in the past so we are adding additional port-a-potties. There are bathrooms at the picnic pavilions which are located farther down from the start of the meet just know that it is a walk to get to them and there may be lines. Timing: ASPS Timing Entries: You must enter ALL athletes who will be running, including JV runners Entries must be added by Tuesday, Sept 3rd at 11:59pm Awards: Awards will be announced following the meet. High School awards will be only for Varsity runners and Varsity teams. The top 10 runners will receive a custom Pasco/Graying medal, and top 2 placing teams will receive a trophy. Middle School awards will be top team for boys and girls and top 5 runners for boys and girls.
