Meet Classifications The McNeese State University Track and Field Teams will be hosting McNeese High School Relays on Tuesday, April 7th. This will be a High School-only meet. High School Aged Teams will only be allowed to enter. NFHS Rules will be in effect. How to Enter - Entries will be processed through athletic.net. Timing will be done by MillerSportsTiming You should set up your account in advance to avoid any problems. - Entry Deadline is 1:30 PM, Saturday . - To sign up to athletic.net go here: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/536476/register and follow directions - You may make changes as often as you wish until the entry deadline - No faxed or phone entries will be accepted. - Entries will be posted on Monday after 6pm at the McNeese Track and Field Website: www.mcneesesports.com under meet info ENTRY FEES : $150.00 per school. Make Payment to McNeese Foundation Boys and Girls Teams are separate $75 per team If you wish to enter A & B Teams additional Team charge will be Added. Schools with Less than 5 athletes will be CHARGED $15.00 Per Athlete. Events: Track: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 100mH, 300mH, **2000mSC 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 4x800m Field: Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Shot, Discus, Javelin Entry Limits: Long & Triple Jump events – maximum 2 athletes per team Relays - 1 relay per team All other events – maximum 2 athletes per team Athletes will be allowed to participate in 4 events total. Meet Information Meet Site The Lena and Bill Henning Track and Field Complex is located just southeast of the McNeese Street and Common Street intersection. Parking is available in the lot on McNeese Street, north of the track. It is an 8-lane all-weather track, recently resurfaced in 2021. Directions to the Track Driving Directions from the East Take Interstate Highway 10 west into Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, then change to Lake Charles Bypass when approaching Lake Charles. From the Bypass, take exit 6A (Ryan Street) in Lake Charles. Turn left from the exit ramp onto Ryan Street and drive south for one mile. After you cross Sale Road, you will see the university on your left. Turn left on McNeese St. After you cross Common St. McNeese Track Complex will be on your RIGHT. Packet Pick-Up: Packets can be picked up, prior to the competition, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Main Entrance to the Recreation Complex. Meet Admission: The meetll be open to the general public. The cost at the gate is $10 across the board. U10 are Free Team Areas: Tents will be allowed in the Team Areas will be available at Northeast Corner of the stadium. Concessions: Concessions will be available on site. Dressing Facilities: Unfortunately, there will be no locker room or shower facilities available for this event. Athlete Check-In: Field event athletes will be required to check in 30 minutes prior to their event at the event site. Listen for Calls. The running events will be on a rolling time schedule so be alert. Qualifying: All races are finals. All field events will be treated as finals; athletes will be given 4 attempts. Implement Weigh-In: Implements may be weighed at the SOUTH END of the Track at the weight-room. They must be weighed between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Starting Heights: Starting heights will be determined at the start of the event, depending on the field sizes and performance.
