2020 Merritt Island Track & Field Invitational The 2020 Merritt Island Track & Field Invitational will be held at Merritt Island High School on Friday, 2/14/20. Please send the $100.00 per school / $75.00 per team checks made out to Merritt Island High School, C/O Jessa Nelson, Bookkeeper. You may also bring payment for the meet and turn it in at the coaches meeting. This meet is open to the first 15 teams that sign up. Contact Dan Epstein, athleticsscoringservices@gmail.com or Pat Campbell, Campbell.pat@brevardschools.org if you plan to have your school participate in this meet. Please set-up your team camps under the visitor side bleachers. Athletes may sit in the visitor side bleachers. The window for registration with www.directathletics.com will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday, 2/12. There is a limit of 1 relay team and 4 entries per event. There will also be an unlimited participant Consolation 1600 (clock will be started with no official times – these athletes will not be entered on direct athletics.) No athletes or coaches will be allowed on the infield during the meet. Athletes will check in for all running events at the clerk of the course tent located at the West end of the stadium and exit the East end upon completion of their race. Please park your school buses by the stadium. All other vehicles must park in the parking lot. We will have a concession stand open at the West end of the stadium. Schedule of Events 4:15PM Coaches Meeting – Finish Line Tent 4:30PM Consolation 1600m (Unlimited participants) Field Events (3 attempts in throws & horizontal jumps) 4:30PM Boys (West Pit)/Girls (East Pit) Long Jump Boys Discus Throw Girls Shot Put Girls Javelin Girls Pole Vault Girls High Jump Following the completion of the above events Boys Shot Put Girls Discus Throw Boys Javelin Boys Pole Vault Girls/Boys Triple Jump Boys High Jump Running Event (Heats vs Time) 5:00PM 4 x 800m Relay 100/110m High Hurdles 100m Dash 1600m Run 4x100 Relay 400m Dash 300m Low/IM Hurdles 800m Run 200m Dash 3200m Run 4x400m Relay
