Meet Notes:
This meet is only for schools in Lake and Sumter counties. Meet begins at 4:30. Coaches' meeting at 4:15; $100 per team. No pole vault. 2022 Lake & Sumter Championship Track & Field Meet Friday April 8th @ South Sumter HS Cost: $100 per school Entries: 3 per event, 1 relay team Running Event Entries: When entering athletes, please make sure they are going to participate. Makes it difficult when a heat of 5 are scheduled to run, and only 1 athlete has shown up. Remember, we want this to be a competitive meet. 1600m will only have 2 heats. 3200m will only have 1 heat. Extras will be timed in a consolation event before the Hurdles begin. Please, only enter athletes that seem to have a competitive time for these races. Field Event Entries: All contestants will be able to receive one measured mark. There will be a minimum requirement for measurement after their 1st attempt. (Excluding HJ) This will be based on median of measurements entered. (NO POLE VAULT) Arriving on our campus: Gates to the stadium will open at 3:15pm. If you arrive before this time, you will be asked to either stay on your bus, or stay in the parking lot until gates are opened. We get out of school at 4:07, so please have your athletes stay at the track area during their arrival. Admission for Spectators: Cost is $5. Tickets can be purchased at the gate. All spectators should park in football parking lot and enter through gates of the stadium. These will be the only gates open for entrance. Schedule of Events: 4:00pm Coaches/Scratch meeting. We will not write in subs. Please scratch athletes who are not in attendance, so we can reseed if we have to. Minimum requirements for field events. Exchange Zone judges for 4x100m races 4:30pm Field Events will begin and the 4x800m Relay. Consolation races will take place after the 4x800 5:30pm Rolling Running Event schedule. We will be awarding medals to the top 3 athletes in each event. Also a Runner Up and Championship Trophy for Girls and Boys Teams.
