Meet Notes: Dear Cross Country Coach,
Walker High School would like to invite you/your teams to participate in the “Walker High Shootout” on Saturday October 20, 2012. The meet will be held in Walker (Sidney Hutchinson Park).
Schedule:
8:30am…….. High School Girls - 3 Miles (Limited to 7 Entries)
9:15am…….. High School Boys - 3 Miles (Limited to 7 Entries)
9:45am…….. Junior High Girls - 2 Miles (8th grade and under- Unlimited Entries)
10:15am…… Junior High Boys - 2 Miles (8th grade and under- Unlimited Entries)
10:45am…… Freshmen Race- Girls & Boys – 2 Miles ( 9th Graders ONLY- Unlimited Entries)
11:15am……. Junior Varsity - 3 Miles (No sign-in/Non-Scoring/Boys & Girls together)
11:45am……..Awards Presentation

***Online Entry Deadline is Wednesday Oct. 17th at 11:59pm. No late entries will be accepted and no entries or changes will be accepted on the day of the meet***
-High School- Online Registration is required through Direct Athletics. See attached information. The Boys’ High School Division and Girls’ High School Divisions will be limited to 7 entries. If you have additional runners who would like to compete, they may participate in the 11:15am - 3 mile Junior Varsity Division race.
-Jr. High- Online Registration is required through Direct Athletics. See attached information. The Boys’ Junior High and Girls Junior High Divisions are for 5th thru 8th graders only. You may enter as many runners as you wish. Scorers will not have to be designated.
-Freshmen Race- Online Registration is required through Direct Athletics. You may enter as many runners as you wish. Scorers will not have to be designated. Girls & Boys will run together and be scored separately at the finish.
-Junior Varsity- There is no registration required for the JV race. This will be a non-scoring 3 mile race.
All runners competing in races must meet LHSAA eligibility requirements. No ineligible high school athletes will be allowed to complete in any event. (This includes the Jr. Varsity Race)
Awards:
A team champion and runner-up trophy will be presented in the Jr. High & High School Divisions.
The top 25 finishers in the High School, Jr. High & Freshmen divisions will be awarded “Walker High Shootout” T-Shirts. Team champion trophy to top team in Freshmen Division (G&B).
Entry Fee:
$50.00 per school (advance registration) Make checks payable to- Walker High School
